Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the SmartStatement mobile application ("the App"), operated by MG Cyber Solutions Limited ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

SmartStatement helps you import bank statements (CSV/PDF), scan invoices, and organize transactions. Your data is processed on your device and, if you choose, synced to your own Google Drive/Sheets. We do not host your financial data on our servers, apart from anything you choose to include in feedback you send us.

2. Accounts

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account you use. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the App, which permanently erases your on-device data and revokes the App's access to your Google Drive.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

• Optional paid subscriptions unlock premium features. Prices are shown in the App before purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings; the App cannot cancel them on your behalf. Refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Standard EULA.

4. Advertising

The App may display advertisements (including banner ads served via Google AdMob) to users on the free tier. Ads are provided by third-party networks subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including reverse-engineering it, interfering with its operation, or using it for unlawful purposes. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you import and for complying with the terms of any third-party service you connect (such as Google).

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its content (excluding your own data) are owned by us and protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal or internal business purposes.

When you send feedback from the App, you grant us a licence to use the content you submit (text, images and diagnostic logs) to diagnose, fix and improve the App and to compile aggregate statistics. We do not use feedback for marketing.

7. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. SmartStatement is a tool to organize financial data and does not provide accounting, tax, or financial advice. You are responsible for verifying any figures before relying on them.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any loss of data.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
